Sung-Min Lee’s practice is focused on complex litigation involving antitrust, securities fraud, false claims act, and consumer fraud claims. He is currently working on antitrust cases involving alleged price fixing in various industries including packaged seafood products and Korean ramen. He is also prosecuting False Claims Act claims on behalf of relators in qui tam (whistle-blower) lawsuits against a drug manufacturer and an anesthesia management company. Additionally, Mr. Lee is involved in the appeal on behalf of Lead Plaintiff New York City Pension Funds before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Norfolk County Retirement System v. Community Health Systems, Inc., 16-6059; and the appeal before the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, on behalf of certain variable life insurance policyholders in Shuster v. AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co., A-003160-15.
At Fordham, Mr. Lee was an associate editor of the Fordham Journal of Corporate & Financial Law and the recipient of the Addison M. Metcalf Labor Law Prize. Mr. Lee represented individual investors to recover investment losses in FINRA arbitrations as part of the Securities Arbitration Clinic. In recognition of his service to the clients, he was awarded the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Mr. Lee received the Community Service Internship Award from the Asian American Law Fund of New York in 2006, which sponsored him to provide legal services to the victims of domestic violence at Sanctuary for Families.
