Lowey Dannenberg Appointed to Plaintiffs' Executive Committee in In re Commodity Exchange, Inc., Silver Futures and Options Trading Class Action

On October 29, 2010, Lowey Dannenberg filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of a proposed class of Plaintiffs who transacted COMEX silver futures and options contracts. On March 2, 2011, the Court appointed Lowey Dannenberg to the Executive Committee responsible for prosecuting the case. Plaintiffs allege that, between June 1, 2008 and the present, Defendants conspired to intentionally and unlawfully suppress and manipulate the price of CME silver futures and options contracts. The case is currently pending before the Honorable Robert P. Patterson, Jr. in the Southern District of New York.
