Lowey Dannenberg Appointed Lead Securities Counsel in Class Action Lawsuit Against Ivy Asset Management, Bank Of NY Mellon and J.P. Jeanneret Associates Investors

Case Abstract
Lowey Attorneys Barbara Hart and Tom Skelton represent several upstate New York unions, which serve as the court-appointed Lead Securities Plaintiffs on behalf of investors in the Income Plus Fund and direct Madoff Investors.  On November 6, 2009, the Court appointed Lowey’s union clients as Lead Securities Plaintiff, and Lowey as Lead Securities Counsel.  The Amended Complaint, which was filed on May 21, 2010, alleges that defendants failed to perform the necessary due diligence that they were being compensated to perform as investment advisors, managers and fiduciaries, and proximately caused millions of dollars in losses invested with entities managed by Madoff.
