WHITE PLAINS, NY – Lowey Dannenberg Cohen & Hart, P.C. is pleased to welcome attorneys Julia Hozakowska and Karen Grennan to the firm.
Hozakowska received her B.A. from Boston University (cum laude with distinction 2003), her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (with Merit 2005) and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law (2007), where she received a certificate in International and Comparative Law. Hozakowska is conversant in Polish and German.

Hozakowska’s international and economic academic and professional experience will serve Lowey’s institutional clients in its complex securities and antitrust litigations where global legal, financial and economic issues frequently arise. Prior to practicing law, Hozakowska worked as a bilingual abstractor, a contributor to the 2007 Human Rights Monitor of the International Service for Human Rights, an international NGO, and has interned at the parliament of the state of Saxony in Germany. Hozakowska is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Grennan received her B.A. from Quinnipiac University (magna cum laude 2003). While at Quinnipiac, Grennan was a three-time recipient of the Outstanding Student of the Year Award. She was also a recipient of the West Educational Publishing Paralegal Student Award. Grennan is listed in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Grennan received her J.D. from Pace Law School (2006). While at Pace Law School, Grennan was a member of the Grand Moot Court Team, and served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Daniel D. Angiolillo, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department Supreme Court of the State of New York.

Grennan is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association, for which she edits the Westchester County Bar Journal and the Westchester County Bar Association Newsletter.

Lowey Dannenberg has represented sophisticated clients in complex litigation for more than 40 years. The firm’s principal fields of practice are investor representation, healthcare cost recovery, antitrust, bankruptcy and creditors rights, and consumer protection.
